Israeli Forces detain Palestinian boy

RNA - "Israeli authorities are holding 400 Palestinian minors aged between 13 and 18,” Qadora Faris, head of the Palestinian Prisoners Society said, Yeni Safak reported.

He added that 10 females were among the jailed Palestinian minors in Israel.

"Those detained minors are suffering bad living conditions in violation of international law," Faris said.

Last month, Israeli forces detained 483 Palestinians, including 125 minors, according to figures by Palestinian NGOs.

Faris described the detainees in Israeli jails as "a bleeding wound of the Palestinian people”, going on to accuse the Israeli government of “repressing” Palestinian prisoners in Israel.

According to Palestinian official figures, more than 6,300 Palestinians are currently held in detention facilities throughout Israel.

Lawyer for the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Hiba Masalha, stated that the Israeli regime, troops and detectives deal harshly with Palestinian children as soon as they are arrested. She also stated that they commit various forms of torture and humiliation against the children, which is a violation of all humanitarian and international legislation.
