Rasa - Israeli forces on Monday detained 22 Palestinians including two women during wide scale raids in several areas in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

RNA - It said in a statement that Israeli forces detained four Palestinians from the Hebron district in the south of the West Bank, including a woman, WAFA reported.

 

According to Adel Halayqeh, soldiers raided his house in the town of al-Shyoukh, northeast of Hebron, in the early morning hours while they were asleep and forced their way into the house after blowing up the front door causing panic and fear among his family.

 

He said the soldiers searched the house for three hours while keeping the family apart in separate rooms, seized two cellular phones, money and a briefcase with documents before detaining his ill wife, Dalal, 50, and her brother Ali Mashni, 25.

 

The army also detained five Palestinians from the district of Tulkarm, four from the Bethlehem area, two from Ramallah area, one from the district of Qalaqilya. three from Jenin area and two from Jericho, including a 16-year-old.

 

Meanwhile, Israeli police detained Huda Odeh in Silwan, a Palestinian neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem, after raiding her home. Odeh is wife of Mohammad Odeh, who is serving nine life terms plus 40 years in Israeli prison since 2002.
