Rasa - Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani deplored the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, blasting certain regional states for intelligence and financial support for the Takfiri terrorists.

RNA - In a message sent to his Afghan counterpart Mohammad Hanif Atmar on Saturday, Shamkhani condemned the terrorist attacks, and extended his condolences to the families of victims.

 

"Unfortunately, certain regional states render financial and intelligence support to Takfiri terrorism which is a deep threat to the Islamic nations and countries and we can just confront it through cooperation and adopting common approaches," he said.

 

He also underscored the necessity for cultural campaign against ISIL beliefs concurrent with security and military measures.

 

Shamkhani stressed Iran's preparedness to help and treat the Afghan people wounded in the terrorist attacks.

 

More than 120 people died this week after terrorists launched three separate attacks in Afghanistan.

 

On Thursday, 43 Afghan soldiers died after insurgents attacked a military base in southern Afghanistan. The death toll is expected to go up.
