RNA – The Lebanese Islamic Resistance organization, Hezbollah has strongly condemned the twin terrorist attacks which occurred on October 14th in the capital of Somalia, Mogadishu.
The message issued by Hezbollah says that cruel and blind-hearted violence targeting innocent civilians in Arab and Islamic cities and other cities in the world is the result of a criminal ideology that wants to use religion as a cover for the achievement of its ambitious goals in the world.
Hezbollah added that some Arab and regional countries also support and encourage Takfiri terrorists to carry out dangerous plots against the people of the Middle East and the nations in the region.
The Islamic Resistance group expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and emphasized the need to focus on expanding efforts to eradicate Takfiri terrorism and cut off the supporters and adherents of these groups.
According to the Somali Information Minister Abdul-Rahman Omar Othman, at least 400 people were killed and more than 500 were injured.
Police said that a truck bomb exploded in a busy area outside the Safari Hotel in the K5 intersection, which is lined with government offices, restaurants, and kiosks, flattening several buildings and setting dozens of vehicles on fire.
Two hours later, another blast, also said to be from a car bomb, struck the capital’s Madinah al-Munawwarah district.
A further vehicle bomb was intercepted and stopped.
Officials say the death toll could still be higher as several people are still missing and the full death total may never be known with certainty, as the remains of many people would not be found due to the intense heat of the bomb blast.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, so far. However, al-Shabaab, a Takfiri militant group linked to al-Qaedah, is often behind such deadly terrorist attacks in the conflict-stricken country, which is located on the Horn of Africa.
