Rasa - The head of the Shi'ite Iraqi endowment met with the head of the Shiite Islamic Supreme Council as well as a Lebanese Mufti.

RNA – Head of Iraq’s Shiite endowment, Sheikh Saiyyid Ala al-Mousawi met with Iraq’s head of Shiite Islamic supreme council during his visit to Lebanon.

 

Ayatollah Qabalan during the meeting expressed hope that security and stability will return to Iraq and Iraq will soon return to its original position in the region and will be a help for the Arab world as well as Muslims all around the world.

 

He described relations between the two countries as “friendly and brotherly” and congratulating Iraq’s achievements in their fight against the Daesh takfiri terrorists said: “There’s no doubt that Ayatollah Sistani’s wisdom and advice was a key factor behind these achievements.”

 

Sheikh Mousawi also said: “Our delegation’s trip to Lebanon would be a good opportunity for scholars from both sides to meet each other and discuss common issues between endowments of both sides and pursue concerns of both Lebanese and Iraqi people.”

 

The head of Iraq’s Shiite endowment, after meeting Sheikh Abdul-Latif, a Lebanese Mufti, also noted that during the meeting, both sides discussed common issues between endowments of both countries and described the methods of managing the offices.
