The Syrian Army troops fended off terrorists' offensive in the Southern part of Aleppo province on Friday, inflicting heavy casualties on them.
The army soldiers engaged in heavy fighting with terrorists and warded off their attack on pro-government forces' positions in Khan Touman region.
In the meantime, the army's artillery units shelled heavily terrorists' movements and positions in Khan Touman region, killing and wounding a large number of terrorists.
Damascus
The Syrian Air Force carried out several combat flights over ISIL's strongholds in the Southern countryside of Damascus city on Friday, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.
The army aircraft pounded ISIL's positions in Hajar al-Aswad region, killing and wounding a number of terrorists and destroying their military hardware.
Homs
The Syrian Army forces stormed terrorists' defense lines in Southwestern Homs on Friday, capturing several regions near the town of al-Quaryatayn.
The army men and popular fighters clashed fiercely with terrorists and pushed them back from Hazm al-Qaribat and Mount Jabil South of the town of al-Quaryatayn and al-Salibiyeh farms and al-Masihi region Northeast of the town.
Terrorists suffered heavy casualties and their military hardware sustained major damage in the attacks.
Local sources confirmed earlier that fresh forces and military hardware were sent to Eastern Homs by the army, adding that the army planed to resume heavy attacks on ISIL's positions to purge the region of terrorists.
In the meantime, the army's artillery and missile units shelled heavily ISIL's positions and movements in Eastern Homs, killing a number of militants and destroying their hardware in large scale.

Deir Ezzur
Syrian army troops have uncovered and destroyed a large mortar shells plant that ISIL terrorists used to attack residential neighborhoods in Deir Ezzur city during the three-year blockade.
A large plant of ISIL terrorist group was found in the town of al-Mayadeen in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, a local source told Sputnik.
The source added that the "plant itself has been destroyed and a depot with thousands of produced shells was left." It was also said that, according to identification marks, some of the shells' components were supplied to the terrorists by Arab states in the Persian Gulf.
According to the Syrian intelligence services, ISIL supplied shells from al-Mayadeen to use them to attack Deir Ezzur city's residential neighborhoods, which is now controlled by the government's armed forces.
Al-Mayadeen became the major ISIL's stronghold following the liberation of Deir Ezzur. Syrian troops are currently engaged in fighting ISIL militants in the Western outskirts of the city.
Syria has been engulfed in a civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting numerous opposition groups as well as extremist organizations.
