RNA - The ISIL terrorists' attacks to capture the government forces' positions in the Eastern parts of Homs province were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.
Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Damascus and Hama, over the past 24 hours.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in other provinces across Syria.
Homs
Army forces in Syria, receiving air support, repulsed several offensives by the ISIL terrorist group against their military positions in areas South-East and North-East of the town of al-Sukhnah in Eastern Homs.
The army soldiers engaged in clashes with ISIL militants in several regions near the Palmyra-al-Sukhnah road in Eastern Homs on Thursday, warding off their attacks.
Other army units also clashed with ISIL terrorists in the Eastern parts of Station 3 region, repelling their assault and killing a number of them.
Meantime, during fierce clashes near al-Hayl oil field, the ISIL could occupy several points near the field and along the al-Hayl-al-Sukhnah road.
Also, the Syrian air force launched heavy airstrikes against the ISIL-held regions and points of clashes in Eastern and Southeastern Homs near al-Mohseh mountains, al-Hayl oil field, Station 3, al-Sukhnah and the road linking al-Hayl to al-Sukhnah, destroying all targets and killing tens of terrorists.
The Syrian army continued to press ISIL in Eastern Homs on Thursday and inflicted tens of casualties on the terrorists.
The army forces continued to advance in Eastern Homs on Thursday and won back control of two villages of Tal Shahab and al-Laj in the Eastern parts of Job al-Jarah.
They also killed 20 terrorists during the clashes and wounded 13 others, smashing several of their military vehicles and equipment.
Deir Ezzur
Government troops in Syria continued the march towards the key city of al-Mayadeen in Southeastern Deir Ezzur and captured new areas on Thursday.
The army forces engaged in clashes with the ISIL on Deir Ezzur-al-Mayadeen road in Southeastern Deir Ezzur on Thursday, advancing nearly 1km towards the town of Baqras Foqani.
The army's artillery and missile units also heavily pounded the ISIL positions in al-Mayadeen, destroying an arms depot, a command center and several military vehicles.
Also, in the Western parts of Deir Ezzur, other Syrian soldiers killed a number of ISIL terrorists in Shoula-Haribsheh pivot after heavy clashes.
Syria-Jordan Border
The Syrian army troops continued military operations in Southeastern Damascus, winning back control over 9 new bordering areas with Jordan.
The army forces retook control over the 9 bordering points 196, 197, 198, 199, 200, 201, 202, 203 and 204.
The army soldiers' operations in the region also left a number of terrorists killed and wounded.
Hama
The Syrian Army troops captured more regions in the Central part of the country, purging completely Eastern Hama of ISIL terrorists, a field source reported on Wednesday.
The source said that the army soldiers won back the village of Hardaneh and Tal (hill) Ayed and Tal Adimeh in Eastern Hama.
The source further said that the ISIL suffered heavy casualties and its military hardware sustained major damage in the attacks.
The Army forces have now the entire Eastern Hama under their control and there is no area left under ISIL's control in the region.
Earlier reports said that the army troops pushed ISIL back from more regions in Eastern Hama, inching closer to the recapture of the entire border regions between Hama and Homs provinces.
Military sources said that the army soldiers engaged in a tough battle with ISIL in Eastern Hama and imposed full control over the village of Abu Dali al-Sharqi.
In the meantime, a field commander said that the army has made a buffer zone between Eastern Hama and a large part of the triangle of Shoumeriyeh-Jubb al-Jarah-Mount Sha'er in Eastern Homs following its advances against ISIL in the last two days.
The commander further said that the army men have seized control over 30 villages and settlements with almost 1,000sq/km of area in their operation that they started from Sha'er region in Eastern Homs towards the village of al-Faseda in Eastern Hama.
