RNA - The ISIL terrorists' attacks to capture the government forces' positions in Homs province were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.
Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Damascus and Hama, over the past 24 hours.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in other provinces across Syria.
Homs
The Syrian Army troops, backed up by the country's Air Force, managed to repel ISIL's heavy attacks on their positions East of the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) on Monday, imposing major losses on the terrorists.
The army men, supported by warplanes, engaged in fierce clashes with a group of ISIL terrorists in the depth of Badiyeh (desert) in the third Station region towards the town of al-Sukhnah and in al-Mahzam region Southwest of al-Sukhnah, and managed to fend off the militants' attacks.
A large number of terrorists were killed and at least seven military vehicles were damaged in the clashes.
Damascus
The Syrian Army troops continued to hit terrorists' defense lines in the Southeastern territories of Damascus province and imposed control over several important regions on Monday.
The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists and seized control over the important regions of Rajm al-Hadlah, Rajm Bakr, Kharba Bakr and Kharba Radifi that are home to terrorists' command centers.
Field sources confirmed that riots and unrest have pushed the terrorist front in the region into full collapse after the recent vast advances of the Syrian army.
Meantime, the Syrian Army troops captured five more border-points in Southeastern Damascus on Monday, killing a number of terrorists, including two notorious commanders.
Commander of Jeish Aswad al-Shrqiyeh Abu Hassan and Ayman Zaher al-Bahir, one of the commanders of Jeish Ahrar, along with a number of their fighters were killed in clashes with the army men.
Checkpoints 186, 187, 188, 189 and 190 were liberated by the army in the clashes in the Southeastern territories of Damascus province and at the border with Jordan.
Deir Ezzur
A notorious ISIL commander, nom de guerre Abu Islam al-Kazakhi, was killed in a drone strike in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, militant-affiliated websites reported on Monday.
The websites reported that Abu Islam al-Kazakhi from Kazakhstan was killed along with his wife in an air raid by a drone in the town of al-Ashareh.
Al-Kazakhi was a notorious commander of the ISIL in the region.
Hama
The Syrian Army troops engaged in a tough battle with the ISIL terrorist group South of the town of al-Souha and captured two more villages on Monday.
The army men managed to take back the villages of Rasm al-Abd and Rasm al-Abayekeh in Eastern Hama.
The army's engineering units have now started defusing landmines and bombs planted by the ISIL in the newly-captured regions.
