RNA - The terrorists in Damascus province sustained heavy losses in tough battle with the Syrian army.
The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.
Damascus
The Syrian army launched an offensive on the al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hayat or the Levant Liberation Board) in the Southwestern parts of Damascus province, advancing towards the terrorists' last bases in the region.
The Syrian soldiers, supported by artillery and missile units, engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists in Hineh region in the Southeastern parts of Damascus on Thursday, advancing towards Beit Jin farm after regaining control over a hill.
A field source referred to the army's advances towards the two strategic hills of al-Zaba'a and al-Maqtoul, and said that al-Nusra terrorists in Beit Jin are using all their power to keep the two hills which overlook Beij Jin farm.
He added that the Syrian army troops have killed over 10 terrorists during the clashes.
Deir Ezzur
The Syrian army is preparing to stage massive operations in Southern Deir Ezzur to reach the strategic city of al-Mayadeen.
A military source said on Thursday that the army has go prepared for the operations and will move towards this vital region from two fronts.
He added that the army will advance from the East (al-Dowikhileh region) towards T2 station as the first front and towards Feizat Ibn Mawina region to pave the ground for advancing towards the two al-Mayadeen and Kabajeb cities.
The source said that the army's control over Feizat Ibn Mawina will cut the ISIL supply routes towards T2 station, al-Mayadeen will be separated from the adjacent areas and the ISIL will be surrounded in a region from Eastern al-Sukhneh and Northern Hamimeh to Southern Shouleh.
He also said that the Russian and Syrian fighter jets have pounded the ISIL positions in al-Mayadeen in the past few days to pave the ground for the Syrian army attack against the strategic region.
Hama
The army forces, supported by the Syrian and Russian air forces, blocked the pullout path of the ISIL terrorists from surrounded territories in Eastern Hama.
The army units repelled ISIL's attack on their positions in Wadi al-Azib region in Eastern Hama on Thursday. The terrorists sought to find a way out towards regions controlled by al-Nusra Front in Southern Idlib and Northern Hama.
The army soldiers inflicted a number of casualties on ISIL terrorists and forced the remaining militants to retreat.
Also, the Syrian and Russian fighter jets launched massive attacks on ISIL positions and moves in the villages of Sarouj, Ibn Wardan Palace and Abu Hanaya in Eastern Hama, killing a large number of terrorists and destroying their military equipment.
Meantime, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday that five notorious field commanders of Al-Nusra Front, who led an attack on the Russian military police officers in Hama province earlier this month, were killed in an airstrike in Idlib province in Syria.
The airstrike targeted the commanders of Tahrir al-Sham, a group that was formed after the collapse of Al-Nusra Front terrorist organization, near the city of Idlib, Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
Homs
25 Towns, townships and villages as well as one city joined the peace plan in Northern Homs in war-hit Syria.
According to a peace agreement between the Syrian army, in cooperation with the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria, and the representatives of several regions in Northern Homs, al-Rastan city along with the villages and towns of al-Kan, Rouzeh, Ezzeddin, Qunaytarat, al-Zaherieh, Kafarnan, Kissin, Housh Kafarnan, Housh al-Zabadi, Um Sharshouh, Marhouj, Housh al-Akrad, al-Sourah, al-Farhaniyeh, al-Khazamiyeh, Kafar Laha, Taldo, al-Zantou, al-Dar al-Kabireh, al-Khalediyeh, al-Jaloudiyeh, Haboub al-Rih, al-Jassemiyeh, Taldahab and Western al-Tayebat joined the peace plan.
Syrian Army Using New Vehicle
The Syrian army has for the first time deployed an armored vehicle to protect its BTR vehicles.
The Arabic service of Sputnik news agency reported on Thursday that the Russian BREM-K vehicles have been designed to safeguard the BTR-80 armored personnel carriers and BTR-82E vehicles.
Also, the BREM-K vehicle carries necessary equipment to fix armored vehicles as well as rotary and non-rotary cranes.
The BREM-K is a wheeled, amphibious vehicle designed to offer technical support to military units. The APC enables repair and recovery of vehicles, as well as towing capabilities.
Developed on the basis of "vosmidesyatki" BREM-K is able to act as a tractor-wrecker. It can help to repair a failed vehicle.
The BREM-K is armed with a machine gun PKTM with 2,000 rounds of ammunition.
Sputnik reported earlier this month that the Syrian army has deployed its Terminator tanks against the terrorists across Syria.
Syria's Terminator tanks which are based on T-72 tanks chassis were manufactured by Syria two years ago.
Terminator is equipped with 14.5-caliber ZBO-4 cannons which can destroy armored vehicles such as BMP, BTR and the like.
This is while the Syrian terminator has been designed to back up other tanks of the Syrian army.
Idlib
Tens of terrorists were killed in the Syrian army's air and ground assaults on al-Nusra Front in Idlib.
The Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper reported on Thursday that the Syrian air force targeted the al-Nusra positions in Jisr al-Shaqour, Badama, al-Qaniyeh, al-Yaqoubiyeh and Abuzohour airport in Idlib, inflicting heavy damages and tolls on the terrorists.
Also, the airstrikes against the militants' positions in al-Tamane'ah town in Idlib destroyed a base belonging to the Turkistani terrorist group.
The Syrian air and missile units also pounded al-Nusra's positions in Atshan, Sakik, Tal Za'tar, Jabal Shahshabou, Qabibat, Abol Hoda, al-Mokhtar and al-Latamineh regions, killing tens of them and smashing their military equipment.
