RNA – In a statement, the Lebanese Islamic Resistance group, Hezbollah, condemned Thursday’s brutal attacks by the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah.
Hezbollah offered its condolences to the Iraqi and Iranian people and the families of the martyrs of this terrorist attack which martyred dozens of Iraqi and Iranian citizens and prayed for the mercy and blessings of God Almighty to be upon the souls of those who were martyred and for those who injured to be quickly healed.
In their statement, Hezbollah said that these crimes are the continuation of the slaughter, destruction and devastation by Takfiri terrorist groups in Iraq and throughout the Middle East and added, “These Takfiri groups follow corrupt beliefs that allow the shedding of blood in the months in which warfare forbidden.”
Hezbollah also called for serious and comprehensive efforts at all levels to eliminate Takfiri and terrorist groups in all areas.
At least 84 people, including eight Iranian martyrs, and about 93 others were wounded on Thursday in the twin terrorist attacks on a restaurant and a checkpoint in Nasiriyah in Iraq’s Dhi Qar Governorate.
Local officials say the death toll could rise due to the critical condition of some of the wounded.
Hours after the attacks, Daesh Takfiri terrorist group claimed responsibility for both attacks in the southern Iraqi city.
