RNA - Members of Bahrain's Ashura community have called on Bahraini citizens to stand firm against the crimes of al-Khalifa and not allow any aggression on Ashura symbols.
The message reads: “The Interior Ministry is once again seeking to provide instructions to limit any type of rituals that are related to Ashura and Muharram and once again wants to interfere in religious affairs.”
The members of the community stressed that the Ministry of the Interior has threatened to stop any action that is deemed political or is insulting the ruling regime.
“The regime has allocate some places for raising black flags of Muharram mourning and does not allow raising flags or symbols anywhere else,” they noted.
Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry summoned a group of mourning delegates on the eve of the month of Muharram on Sunday. The details of the meeting are unknown.
