RNA - The opposition figure was previously banned from traveling in April of last year following allegations by Bahrain’s Public Prosecutor that he took part in ‘illegal protests’ in Diraz, Lua Lua TV reported.

In recent months Manama imposed the travel ban on dozens of human rights defenders, political activists, lawyers and journalists.

Critics of the Manama authorities argue that the practice is part of Manama’s efforts to prevent activists from attending international rights forums and exposing abuses in the Persian Gulf kingdom.
