Bahraini lawyer:
RNA - A Bahraini lawyer described torture chambers inside the country as “a shame for the international community.”
Ibrahim Sarhan

Rasa - Ibrahim Sarhan, a Bahraini lawyer reacted to Bahrain’s torture chambers known as "death chambers" on his Twitter account saying "death chambers will be wider, and will include people of all ages. Al-Khalifa refuses to implement the recommendations of Geneva and exploits the silence of influential countries.”

He added that the countries claiming to be friends of Bahrain have not done anything to the people of Bahrain and remained silent regarding the death chambers.

Sarhan insisted that the Bahraini people enjoy patience and courage in their peaceful protests, and there is no need to form secret groups to provide excuses for the Bahraini government to establish death chambers.

He described these torture chambers “a shame for the international community” and said: It is a pity that some governments extend their hands to a government that has established cells of torture and murder of citizens and criminals commit atrocities without any fear of supervision and prosecution.

The activist continued, "The death chambers do not require political reform and national reconciliation. These chambers represent the rule of "arrogance and dictatorship" in Bahrain.

He stressed that torture is totally condemned in accordance with international law and humanitarian practices and is never seen as a tool for political affairs.
