ISIL ISIS Daesh

RNA - The Iraqi republic’s ambassador to the Russian Federation, Heydar Hadi, said that the operation to wipe out the remnants of ISIS inside Iraq is at its final stages.

The Iraqi diplomat in an interview with a Russian newspaper pointed out that “the end of ISIS inside Iraq is approaching and we are now planning on a rapid reconstruction of the city of Mosul which has been recently freed from the hands of ISIS.

Haydar Hadi also noted that Iraqi government forces could cleanse the entire territory of this country in less than two months from the existence of ISIL terrorists.

"In Iraq, there are no more than a few terrorists left, and now they have no way to escape. That's why they have no choice but to fight for death. Their situation has deteriorated, especially on the border between Iraq and Syria," he said.

“Currently,” he added, “only a small number of "nests" of ISIS terrorist group remain in Iraq and the progress of the government forces to destroy them has been much faster than before.”

The Iraqi ambassador noted that some countries have proposed to contribute to the reconstruction of the country adding: “Some countries are now agreed to help rebuild Iraq. Meanwhile, Russian companies are also interested in contributing to this.”

One billion dollars for reconstruction of Mosul

According to the Iraqi ambassador, reconstruction of Mosul needs at least one billion dollars of budget.

“Terrorists have destroyed every single piece of the country, and now the city has become a ruin. The duty of the Iraqi government is to provide the necessary conditions for the return of the people to the city, and Mosul must be restored as soon as possible.”

“The cost is estimated at over $ 1 billion and, of course, much effort is needed and, with the participation of the international community, the Iraqi government will be in charge of this task,” he said.
