Military sources reported on Friday that a large number of fresh forces of the Syrian Army and National Defense Forces (NDF) arrived in the Western countryside of Aleppo.
The sources said that reinforcement troops of the Syrian Army and NDF arrived in the Western countryside of Aleppo to strengthen the government’s front-lines in the Western direction of al-Zahra Association Quarter and al-Rashedeen 4 suburb.
While reinforcements were arriving in large numbers over the last two weeks, it was not clear if the Syrian Army intended to launch an offensive anytime soon given the ongoing political negotiations.
The army threatened the militants in Anadan Plain and Rashedeen 4 suburbs to surrender.
Hama
The Syrian Army has dispatched a large number of Special Forces to Eastern Hama to join their comrades' war on ISIL terrorists, military sources reported Saturday.
The sources said that the army men stormed ISIL's defense lines and pushed them back from several heights overlooking the Eastern side of the village of al-Mab'oujeh near the village of Salba.
The sources went on to say that ISIL suffered heavy casualties in the attack, adding that the army has also gained military control over Salba.
The sources further said that the army has forwarded a large number of special forces and a large volume of equipment to Eastern Hama to accelerate the army men's advances against ISIL in the region.
Homs
The Syrian Army troops hit ISIL's defense lines hard in Eastern Homs on Saturday and managed to impose control over another strategic village in their push towards Deir Ezzur.
The army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL and pushed them back from the village of al-Salehiyeh after they captured the village of al-Tarfawi Northeast of Abu al-Alaya.

The sources said that the army helicopters conducted night-time heliborne operations behind the defense lines of the ISIL South of the town of al-Kadir at Raqqa's provincial border with Homs and managed to advance 21km and impose control over Khirbet Makman region and the town al-Kadir.

Local sources said that the ISIL terrorist group has forwarded a large number of forces and a large volume of military equipment to the town of Ma'adan in last two days to slow down the army soldiers' rapid advances in the region.
The ISIL is trying hard to prevent the fall of Ma'adan to the army because the latter's control over Ma'adan will pave the way for the pro-government forces to enter Deir Ezzur province.
The sources further added that the ISIL has also carried out several surprise attacks on army positions in areas surrounding Ma'adan to prevent the soldiers' advances.
