RNA - Local sources told Ma’an that Israeli forces raided the Asira al-Shamaliya town in the Nablus district and detained PLC deputy Husni al-Bourini, former prisoner Munadil Saada who spent 15 years in Israeli jails, former prisoner al-Sheikh Darar Hamadna, and former prisoner Adham al-Shawli, Ma'an reported.
Israeli raids in Palestinian towns, villages, and refugee camps are a daily occurrence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, with a biweekly average of 95 search and detention raids carried out over the course of 2016, according to UN documentation.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, as of May, there were 6,200 Palestinians being held in Israeli prisons, including 12 PLC members.
In the Qaryut town southeast of Nablus city, Israeli forces detained Muhammad Tariq Odeh and Islam Muhammad Majli Issa, while al-Sheikh Omar Darawsha and Riyad Yousif Salahat from the Talluza town northeast of Nablus.
One Palestinian was detained from Salfit city, while in the Ramallah district, two Palestinians were detained from the village of Silwad, one Palestinian was detained from al-Bireh city, and one was detained from the village of Beitin.
Local sources told Ma’an that Yazid al-Remawi, Ghassan Karaja and Abd al-Rahman Hamed were detained from the Ramallah governorate, without specifying where each were detained from.
In the Jerusalem-area village of Shufat, locals told Ma’an that Israeli forces detained Malik Yuilim and Basel al-Dibs.
Locals in the Bethlehem district told Ma’an that Israeli forces detained Bakir Nawawra from Bethlehem city.
Two other Palestinians were detained from Bethlehem city, while one Palestinian was detained from the Bethlehem-area village of Tuqu. While in the Hebron district, one Palestinian was detained from the Surif village, while another was detained from Hebron city.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces also raided the home of Palestinian prisoner Muhammad Abd al-Basit in the Deir Samit village in Hebron during dawn hours on Wednesday, as Israeli forces seized cash and a vehicle, according to local sources.
The sources added that Israeli forces had claimed that the father of Abd al-Basit had been receiving cash from the Hamas movement, considered a "terrorist" organization by the Israeli government, following an attack al-Basit had allegedly carried out two years prior in the south of Hebron.
