In a relevant development in mid-July, Terrorists based in Pakistan opened fire at the Iranian borders in Southeastern Iran with light and curve fire guns, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' Ground Force reported.

The terrorist attack took place when the attackers affiliated to the global arrogance and foreign spying services shot at the Iranian border areas in Saravan region and faced the countermeasure from the IRGC forces.

One of the terrorists were killed and two others were injured in the clash while another two fled to Pakistan, said the report.

Two local Iranian workers were reported dead by terrorists fire during the attack.

In April, 11 Iranian border guards were killed and three others injured in clashes near the border town of Mirjaveh. The Pakistan-based Jaish ul-Adl terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Tehran reacted by saying that it reserved the right to respond to the attack as it chose and warning that its patience was wearing thin with Pakistan's lack of cooperation.
