Moreover, a large number of pro-government reinforcements have just arrived in Eastern Hama to take part in an imminent offensive to drive ISIL out of the region.

According to military sources, the ISIL-held town is expected to be ceded by the terrorist group to the Syrian Army soon since the pro-government forces have established fire control over it.

The army's steady advances in the regions near Arak and al-Heil oil fields enable the pro-government forces to capture more key heights South and North-West of al-Sukhnah.

The army, now, needs to capture Tantour heights West of al-Sukhnah to impose control over the Southwestern entrance of the town.
