RNA – On the anniversary of Lebanon’s victory over the Zionist regime in the 2006 33-Day War, the Palestinian Liberation Front offered its congratulations to the Lebanese government, people and the Islamic Resistance (Hezbollah).
The 33-Day War was a military conflict in Lebanon, northern occupied Palestine and the Golan Heights. The principal parties were Hezbollah paramilitary forces and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The conflict started on July 12, 2006, and continued until a United Nations-brokered ceasefire went into effect in the morning on August 14, 2006.
The message stated, “This victory, one the historic victories that Lebanon has enjoyed, began in 2000 with the expulsion of the Zionist enemies from the country’s purified soil. The 33-Day War was a great blow, not only for the Zionist enemies, but also a catastrophic defeat for American projects and plans as a supporter of this war.”
The Palestinian Liberation Front added that Lebanon was able to escape this war with the stability of the army and the people and with resistance and mythical battle and stated, “This war symbolized Arab and Islamic dignity and was a source of pride for all Arab liberators and a minaret to guide all the honourable Arab warriors.”
“We are proud of the victories of Lebanon and of its heroic resistance, especially those of the Hezbollah commanders and their courageous and wise policies, and we see Hezbollah as a light to guide us to defeat the Zionist targeted attacks to suppress the resistance,” the Sunni resistance group added.
The Palestinian Liberation Front’s statement continues, “The brutal Zionist war against Lebanon was a new face of the heinous crimes of the Zionist regime to attack the resistance of the Lebanese people and their targeting of the citizens and infrastructure of Lebanon by the Zionist enemies also represents the policy of mass murder that the enemies have engaged in throughout its bloody history.”
The Palestinian resistance group described the victory of Lebanon as owing to the unity of the country’s army, nation and the Islamic Resistance, and continued, “The great and resistant people of Lebanon, which have dignity and munificence and have engaged in strengthening the spirit of resistance, and have offered all the free-minded people of the world weapons with which they can achieve victory and can defeat and the Zionist and American project and plots.”
The Palestinian Liberation Front sent Hezbollah forces their greetings and noted, “Hezbollah is winning many victories and it paves the way for generations to get rid of the occupiers and defeat their divisive plots. We need an Arab national front to send the plots of the colonial powers to loot our wealth to the grave.”
