Rasa - A large number of civilians are leaving Raqqa city after the Predominately Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) managed to prevail over ISIL's defense lines in different parts of the city, field sources reported.

RNA - The sources said that civilians are leaving Raqqa city in groups for a refugee camp in the village of al-Karameh East of Raqqa after clashes between the ISIL and the Kurdish fighters intensified in different neighborhoods of the city.

 

The sources said that a number of fleeing people are suffering from physical injuries and mental problems.

 

In the meantime, the SDF fighters have advanced against ISIL and are moving towards Central part of the city.

 

Military sources, meantime, said that the SDF has imposed control over Seif al-Dowleh road that is the main road to the city center and goes through the city towards the Old Grand Mosque.   

 

Relevant reports said on Tuesday that the Kurdish fighters engaged in tough battle with ISIL in the Southeastern part of Raqqa city and took full control over the township of al-Tatleh.

 

In the meantime, the SDF managed to prevail over ISIL's defense lines and entered Hosham Bin Abdul Malik neighborhood in the Southern part of the city, al-Yarmouk in West and Old Raqqa neighborhood East of the city.

 

The SDF has thus far captured half of Hosham Bin Abdul Malik neighborhood. The Kurdish-led SDF, meantime, drove ISIL out of the Eastern part of Old Raqqa.

 

The ISIL has lost over 30 fighters in the clashes.
