Rasa - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI) Ammar al-Hakim in a meeting in Tehran discussed mutual cooperation and regional developments.
Zarif, Ammar Hakim Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional Developments

RNA - During the meeting in the Iranian capital on Monday night, Zarif and al-Hakim explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating bilateral ties.

 

The two sides also exchanged views on the latest regional developments, specially the fight against the ISIL terrorist group.

 

The meeting came in the wake of Iraq’s recent major victory against the ISIL terrorists, namely the liberation of Mosul, the Northern Iraqi city that served as ISIL's de facto capital.

 

The Iraqi official was visiting Iran as part of an objective to take part in the 9th General Assembly of the Islamic Radio and Television Union (IRTVU) which opened in Mashhad on Sunday.
