Rasa - Terrorists' defense lines have collapsed as the Syrian army started clashes with al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in Quneitra.

RNA - The Syrian army soldiers engaged in heavy clashes with al-Nusra terrorists who had attacked the army positions near al-Ba'ath city in the outskirts of Quneitra.

 

Simultaneous with Israeli fighter jets' attacks against the army positions in Quneitra, the al-Nusra could advance in the region again but the Syrian troops regained control of the lost areas in counter attacks.

 

A military source said that the Syrian army has seized back control over all the regions occupied by the terrorists in collaboration with Israel in the past few days, adding that they are now in control of the situation in the region.

 

He added that over 50 terrorists have been killed and 150 others wounded during the recent clashes.

 

Two al-Nusra commanders namely Tariq Mansoud Mohammed Shahadat and Abu Osameh were killed and a large number of vehicles, weapons and military equipment of militants were smashed during the clashes.

 

Also, the Syrian army's artillery and missile units targeted the al-Nusra terrorists' positions and moves in several points, including the Public Relations building in Quneitra, al-Elm square at the Eastern entrance of the city and in Western al-Samadaniyeh.

 

Another military source reported that after the army resumed clashes with al-Nusra near al-Ba'ath city, the terrorists retreated towards al-Hamidiyeh and Western al-Samadaniyeh regions in a disorganized fashion.

 

Also, on Tuesday, the Syrian army warded off another offensive by al-Nusra Front in Quneitra, inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorists.

 

The army forces engaged in heavy clashes with the al-Nusra terrorists who had attacked regions near Eastern al-Samadaniyeh in the Southern parts of al-Ba'ath city in Quneitra, repulsing their offensive.

 

Meantime, the army's artillery and missile units targeted the terrorists' moves in the region, killing a number of militants, including two of their field and military commanders.

 

Also, a military source said that clashes near al-Ba'ath city have left 45 terrorists dead and 130 others wounded, adding that Israel has transferred the al-Nusra's injured militants to its hospitals and a number of Hebrew-language media have released reports about it.
