Rasa - The Syrian army continued its mop-up operations in the Eastern countryside of Damascus by purging terrorists from key regions.
Syria

RNA - The army units also pushed back terrorists from took back their position in Ein Terma valley and advanced further into Eastern Ghouta.

 

The Syrian troops killed tens of terrorists and injured dozens more in fierce clashes over controlling of strategic regions. They also destroyed military equipment of the terrorists.

 

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

 

Damascus

 

The Syrian Army soldiers engaged in tough battle with terrorists in Eastern Ghouta and pushed them back from their strongholds in Ein Terma valley, killing and wounding a number of militants.

 

The Syrian Army resumed its military operation against Faylaq al-Rahman militants in Damascus province and recaptured Ein Terma Valley after hours of bloody battle with terrorists.

 

The Syrian pro-government forces also captured several sites in the Southern part of the town, including the Driving Training Center, Al-Jisr Neighborhood, and a number of nearby buildings, field sources said, adding that the army men are on the verge of liberating al-Khir Market and Ein Terma Bus Station.

 

Based on field reports, the army has called on terrorists in Ein Terma and Jobar to deliver the districts to the government forces, but the militants have thus far refused and continue fight against the army soldiers.

 

In the meantime, the fighter jets pounded terrorists' strongholds near Jobar and Ein Terma, inflicting heavy casualties on the militants.

 

Field sources confirmed that Mehran al-Karjouseli, a media activist of the terrorist group of Faylaq al-Rahman, was killed in an airstrike in the town of Hazeh in Eastern Ghouta, adding that Abu Saeed al-Pasha, a field commander of Faylaq al-Rahama, was also killed in clashes with army soldiers in Jobar's countryside.

 

Dara'a

 

The Syrian Army forces intensified their attacks on terrorist groups' defense lines in the Southern city of Dara'a after the peace plan between Damascus officials and militant groups failed.

 

The sources said that Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) has refused to retreat from parts of Southern Dara'a up to the vital passageway of Nasib and rejected to join the peace agreement with the army, city sources disclosed.

 

They added that however several militant groups of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) have applied for government amnesty.

 

In the meantime, field sources said that implementation of the peace plan went unlikely after several cases of terrorist groups' attacks on residential areas and army continued reinvigoration of its offensive capabilities to enter Southern Dara'a.

 

Jamal al-Za'abi, who represents Dara'a people in the Syrian Parliament, said that terrorists' measures and their insistence on attacking civilians have made implementation of the reconciliation plan unlikely.

 

Field source, meantime, reported that the army forces repelled an attack on terrorists East of the camp area and managed to retake control over lost positions in a rapid counter-attack.

 

The army has also opened a new front towards Qazi in Eastern Dara'a to separate the Eastern part of Dara'a city from Dara'a al-Balad district.

 

The army's artillery and missile units, meanwhile, pounded terrorists' stronghold in Dara'a al-Balad and al-Manshiyeh neighborhood, while the army aircraft increased their combat flights over Dara'a after the failure of reconciliation plan.       

 

Hama

 

The Syrian Army soldiers have kicked off a fresh round of operation in Western Raqqa to impose control over ISIL-held positions along the highway that connects Raqqa city to the town of Ithriya in Hama province.

 

The Syrian Army in the course of a special military operation in Western Raqqa hit ISIL’s positions along the Ithriya-Raqqa Highway, inflicting heavy losses on the Takfiri terrorist group, a field source said, adding that the pro-government forces are attempting to connect the Ithriya-Raqqa Highway from the town of Resafa in Western Raqqa to Ithriya in Eastern Hama.

 

According to field reports, should the Syrian forces recapture the entire terrorist-held positions along the Raqqa-Ithriya highway, the ISIL will be besieged from three directions in Khanasser plain in Southeastern Aleppo.

 

The army and popular forces also resumed military operations in Northeastern Hama, pounding ISIL's positions near the town of Ithriya, liberating Al-Abjar Hill along the Hama-Raqqa provincial road.

 

The Damascus forces are currently trying to cleanse the Salamiyah-Raqqa Road, as they look to secure the pathway between the two towns of Ithriya and Resafa.

 

Deir Ezzur

 

The Syrian Army troops continued their anti-ISIL operation they started from borders with Iraq and managed to advance against terrorists towards the town of Albu Kamal South-East of Deir Ezzur province.

 

The army men continued their operation from borders of Syria with Iraq and managed to take control over Wadi (desert) al-Lo'weiziyeh and advanced tens of kilometers along the border, seizing control of al-Washash region, Wadi al-Wa'ar and al-Wa'ar dam.

 

A military source, meantime, reported that the army soldiers have entered Deir Ezzur province from its Southeastern part for the first time in the last five years, adding that the pro-government forces are only 125km away from Albu Kamal. 

 

The Syrian Army troops continued their advances against ISIL in Raqqa and Deir Ezzur provinces and managed to take control of a strategic town, blocking the path of the US and its affiliated militants to Deir Ezzur.

 

The army men captured the key town of al-Rasafeh West of Raqqa province and closed off the US planned move to Deir Ezzur city through Western Raqqa.

 

In the meantime, the army men closed off the Southern entrance of Raqqa city to ISIL by capturing al-Rasafeh.

 

Field sources said that the recent advances of the army soldiers have blocked the US-backed Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces path to approach Deir Ezzur.

 

Ali Maqsoud, a Syrian military expert said al-Rasafeh that is located West of Deir Ezzur and South of Raqqa is now under the control of the Syrian army, "so all US plans to access Deir Ezzur are null and void now".
