RNA - The US-led coalition's white phosphorous strikes on Deir Ezzur in Eastern Syria left over 30 civilians dead and wounded.

 

Deir Ezzur

 

The US-led coalition's fighter jets attacked with white phosphorous two houses packed with civilians in the village of Khasham in the Eastern countryside of Deir Ezzur, the Arabic-language al-Hadath news reported.

 

One of the phosphorous bombs hit a house where a family who had gathered there fearing from airstrikes.

 

The Syrian media also reported that at least 10 civilians, including several children and women, were killed and over 20 others were also wounded in the phosphorous attack of the coalition forces.

 

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian army backed by the country's air force fended off ISIL's massive attack on several military positions of the government forces in Southern Deir Ezzur, killing tens of terrorists.

 

The army units engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists who had attacked the government forces' military positions in areas near al-Jabileh, Qata al-Talmieh and near al-Maqaber (cemetery) region.

 

The Syrian army killed 11 terrorists and injured some others during the clashes.

 

The Syrian army's artillery units also pounded ISIL's military positions around Tal al-Sonouf, Altim Oilfield and the two districts of al-Huweiqa and al-Amal, killing and injuring a number of terrorists.

 

Meantime, the Syrian air force also launched heavy attacks on ISIL's military positions in Huweiqa Qateh and al-Sana'e and al-Hamidiyeh districts as well as the areas surrounding al-Tamin brigade which resulted in the destruction of three military vehicles and death of tens of ISIL terrorists.

 

Damascus

 

The Syrian army continued its military operations in Southeastern Damascus from three directions and regained full control over several regions and hilltops.

 

The Syrian army engaged in heavy clashes with the terrorists after taking control of Banr al-Qasab region in Southeastern Damascus and managed to take control of Um Jadian, Rasm al-Abdeh, Shalil, Zofreh and Areh al-Sarikhi from the direction of Rasm al-Sabiheh North of Um Jadian.

 

The Syrian army troops clashed with the terrorists and took control of Tal Maryam, Matr al-Qasa, Kuh al-Bir, Kharbeh al-Qasab from the second direction coming from Tal Al-Rabieh Northwest of Banr al-Qasb.

 

From the third direction, the Syrian soldiers clashed with terrorists from the direction of Western Tal al-Rabieh West of Banr al-Qasb and took control of Sahl al-Zanibeh/Zaynabieh plain and al-Nahdin hilltops.

 

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syria army carried out special military operations against the terrorists in the last regions under militants" control and managed to take full control of several areas in rapid advances.

 

"The Syrian army's military operations were kicked off from three directions, including in Jobar district and with the aim of impose overall dominance over the district," a military source said.

 

Meantime, the Syrian army forces moved towards Ain Terma in the second phase and towards the towns of Arabeen and Zumalka in the third phase.

 

The Syrian fighter jets as well as missile and artillery units hit hard the terrorists' military positions in these regions.

 

The Syrian army made a considerable advance towards Jobar district and also made rapid advances deep inside Ain Terma and took control of a mosque in Ain Terma and also several housing complexes in al-Dokhanieh region in the surrounding areas of al-Jud factory and several housing complexes adjacent to al-Kahyr markets.

 

Homs

 

The Syrian army backed by the country's air force warded off attacks by ISIL and Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) on government forces' military positions, inflicting heavy losses on them.

 

The Syrian army units engaged in heavy clashes with ISIL terrorists who were trying to penetrate into areas near Ain al-Dananir village and West of al-Moshrefeh town from Ain Hossein Jonoubi village Northeast of Homs and foiled their attacks.

 

The Syrian government troops killed most of the invaders and forced the rest of them to flee the scene.

 

On the other hand, other Syrian army troops engaged in heavy clashes with Al-Nusra Front terrorists near the two villages of Marimien and Qarmes in al-Holeh region in the Northwestern part of Homs. The Al-Nusra Front terrorists had attacked the government troops' military positions in areas near al-Houleh region.

 

Hama

 

The Russian and Syrian fighter jets in a joint military operation pounded ISIL's military positions and movements in Eastern Hama and inflicted heavy losses on them.

 

The Russian warplanes pounded the positions of ISIL deep inside Badieh (desert) in Eastern Hama which resulted in the death and injury of tens of ISIL terrorists and destruction of their military vehicles and equipment.

 

The Syrian air force warplanes strongly pounded ISIL’s movements in the direction of the oil pipeline and Tabareh al-Dibeh in Eastern Hama.

 

This is while the terrorists’ military bases and movements also came under airstrikes by the Syrian fighter jets along Sheikh Halal-Rasm al-Timeh axis which resulted in the death of a number of ISIL terrorists.

 

In Northern Hama, the army troops engaged in clashes with the terrorists who had attacked al-Mosaseleh checkpoint and inflicted heavy losses on the terrorists before thwarting their invasion.

 

The Syrian army also pushed ahead with its anti-ISIL military operations in Eastern Hama, forcing the Takfiri terrorists to withdraw from more regions.

 

Dara'a

 

The Syrian army continued to push terrorists back from more regions in Dara'a, and killed a senior commander of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in clashes on Wednesday.

 

The army units advanced deep into the Dara'a Al-Balad camp and captured the school complex and gas station of the camp after heavy clashes with Al-Nusra Front terrorists.

 

Meantime, the Syrian air force also heavily pounded the terrorists' military positions in Dara'a al-Balad and al-Atisheh.

 

Commander of Tahrir Houran Brigade affiliated to the Free Syrian Army Issa al-Mosalemeh was killed in clashes with the army.

 

A military source pointed to the Syrian army's strategic advances in Dara'a and dominance over the air defense battalion and Tal al-Thalileh, and said that if the Syrian army reinforces its positions in these two areas and advances towards the borders with Jordan, it will be able to disconnect the Western and Northwestern parts of Dara'a from the Eastern and Northeastern parts of the province and lay siege on the terrorists from every direction.

 

The source also said that if the Syrian army reinforces its positions at the air defense battalion, Dara'a al-Balad and al-Monshiyeh will also be liberated.
