Rasa - The Syrian army soldiers repelled terrorists' attack on their positions in Deir Ezzur province after hours of clashes, inflicting major losses on them.
Syria

RNA - The ISIL terrorists' attack to capture the government forces' positions South of Deir Ezzur city was fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

 

Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Homs, over the past 24 hours.

 

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in other provinces across Syria.

 

Deir Ezzur

 

The Syrian army backed by the country's air force repelled ISIL's massive attack on South of Deir Ezzur, inflicting heavy losses and casualties on the terrorists while destroying their military vehicles and equipment.

 

The Syrian army troops engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL terrorists in Tal al-Borouk around Regiment 137 and foiled their attacks by pushing them back from that region.

 

A large number of ISIL terrorists were killed and wounded by the Syrian army.

 

The government troops, meantime, pounded ISIL's military positions near Jisr al-Raqqa Northwest of the city of Deir Ezzur, destroying a large number of terrorists' military vehicles.

 

Meantime, the Syrian fighter jets hit hard the military positions and bases of the ISIL in the villages of Hatleh and Murat East of Deir Ezzur which resulted in the destruction of a huge arms and ammunition depot.

 

The Syrian fighter jets also pounded the ISIL's military positions in Huweiqa al-Sakar, Panorama and al-Tharda in areas Surrounding Deir Ezzur, inflicting heavy losses on the terrorists.

 

Damascus

 

The Syrian army sent hundreds of reinforcements to Damascus province as security sources disclosed that the government troops are preparing for sensitive and massive military operations near the capital city.

 

"The Syrian army intends to kick off a large-scale military operation soon to recapture Jobar district from terrorists," a security source said.

 

The source went on to say that Damascus is in the final stage of preparations to dispatch troops and military equipment to the vital front while the missile and artillery units of the Syrian army are continuously targeting the terrorists' defense lines in the region.

 

"Jobar is highly important for the Damascus government because by recapturing this region, the terrorists will no longer be able to hit the capital city with their rockets and mortar shells.

 

The Syrian army and air force continued raiding Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in Southwestern and Southeastern Damascus, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

 

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra in Tal (hill) Marwan North of the village of al-Maqrouseh Southwest of Damascus city.

 

In the meantime, the army aircraft pounded several times terrorists' positions in Rajm al-Sarikhi region East of Ba'ar al-Qasab Southeast of Damascus city, killing and wounding a number of terrorists.

 

The fighter jets, meantime, bombed heavily Al-Nusra's strongholds in Jorbar district that was used by terrorists to target the army's positions and residential areas in Damascus city.

 

Hama

 

The Syrian army backed by the country's air force continued its military operations against the ISIL in Eastern Hama province and managed to take control of more strategic heights and also pave the way for its advances towards a strategic dam.

 

The government forces recaptured Debareh al-Dibeh hilltop after engaging in heavy clashes with the ISIL terrorists in the Eastern countryside of Hama.

 

The Syrian fighter jets, meantime, heavily pounded the military positions and movements of the ISIL in the villages of Salbeh, Qalib al-Thur, Abu Habilat, al-Tanahej, Jeni al-bawi, Marina and Western Tabareh al-Dibeh in Hama countryside, killing and injuring several ISIL terrorists.

 

Meantime, a military source announced that the Syrian troops will focus on recapturing Aqarib dam East of Salmiyeh after regaining control of the strategic Debareh al-Dibeh hilltop.

 

The source also said that another convoy of the Syrian troops will be dispatched to Hama's Eastern front to accelerate the military operations against the ISIL.

 

Meantime, the Syrian army forces continued military operations in Eastern Hama and Homs to drive ISL out of the Badiyeh region, and seized back control of two strategic regions in the two provinces.

 

The army troops continued advances in Petrol Line route in the Southern parts of the town of Aqarib in Eastern Hama – the ISIL's last base in Syria's Badiyeh region- and regained control of Tabarat al-Dibeh region after winning back the strategic hill of Tabarat al-Dibeh.

 

They also drove ISIL back from the Northern mountain of al-Tadmuriyeh after liberation of Arak region, the energy field and dam, by advancing towards al-Sukhnah, the ISIL's last bastion in Eastern Homs and the main gate for entering Deir Ezzur province.

 

The Syrian army troops continued their advances against ISIL in Eastern Homs and recaptured Arak energy field on Thursday, moving towards the strategic town of al-Sukhnah along the main road to the terrorist-held city of Deir Ezzur.

 

The army soldiers that had earlier taken full control over Arak triangle engaged in heavy fighting with ISIL and pushed them away from Arak oilfield East of the city of Palmyra.

 

A large number of ISIL terrorists, including non-Syrians, were killed and their military hardware were damaged in the attack.

 

A military source announced that after taking control over Arak energy field the army soldiers are to move towards al-Sukhnah that is the last ISIL base in Homs province and a gate to Deir Ezzur province.

 

Homs

 

The Syrian army, supported by the air force, continued military operations against the ISIL in Eastern Homs and advanced towards the strategic city of al-Sukhnah after regaining control over several points.

 

The army forces continued clashes with terrorists after seizing back Arak energy field and retook control of Ba'ar al-Hafneh and Arak dam in the outskirts of Palmyra (Tadmur).

 

Meantime, the Syrian air force pounded ISIL's positions and moves in the Eastern parts of Arak region, areas near the third station and Western Tayebeh in Palmyra region, destroying several command centers, cars and military equipment.

 

The Syrian army has managed to block one of ISIL's most important financial resources after the recent achievements and victories in the Eastern parts of Homs and regaining control over Arak energy field.

 

Military analysts believe that the army's control over Arak oil field in Northeastern Palmyra (Tadmur) has opened a new door to start and accelerate the operations in the region towards the ISIL's main bastion in Eastern Homs, the town of al-Sukhnah, Palmyra-Deir Ezzur road and then towards breaking the terrorists' siege on Deir Ezzur city and airbase.

 

Analysts believe that the capture of Arak energy field is strategically important because the Syrian army forces have been able to increase security in Palmyra city despite the fact that hundreds of ISIL terrorists have fled Raqqa towards Palmyra- before the eyes of the US-led coalition forces.

 

The army's concurrent operations from several pivots in Eastern Palmyra, Western Raqqa, Eastern Aleppo and Eastern Salamiyeh has played a decisive role in cutting the ISIL's supply routes between its bases in Badiyeh (desert) and purging terrorists from thousands of kilometers of the Syrian territories.
