RNA - "Today, a terrorist team was attacked by the security forces and disbanded," Alavi said on Wednesday night.

He added that the team consisted of 7 terrorists, including 5 Iranian and 2 foreign nationals.

Alavi also said that another terrorist team was disbanded in the Southeastern city of Chabahar in Sistan and Balouchestan province on Wednesday, adding that intelligence shows that the Saudis have hired mercenaries from the neighboring states to create insecurity inside Iran.

In relevant remarks on Monday, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari announced that the June 7 terrorist attacks in Tehran were carried out at the demand of Riyadh.

"We have precise intelligence showing that unfortunately, Saudi Arabia has supported the terrorists and demanded them to conduct operations in Iran," General Jafari said.

He also revealed that the terrorist groups in the region are also supported by the US and Israel.

Three unknown male assailants fired several rounds at the guards protecting the parliament building in Tehran on June 7. The assailants opened their way into the parliament's administrative building while shooting at the guards.

A similar attack took place at the holy shrine of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, parallel with the parliament attack.

17 people, including the parliament's guards, were killed and 52 others were wounded in the twin attacks claimed by the ISIL.
