Rasa - Judiciary officials in the Southern province of Hormozgan announced on Monday that 5 members of the ISIL terrorist group have been captured in the port city of Jask.

RNA - "5 people affiliated to the ISIL terrorist group have been arrested in Jask port in the past few days and sent to the prison upon temporary detention orders," Director-General of Hormozgan's Judiciary Department Mohammad Sadeq Akbari said.

 

He added that cases of the detainees are under investigation and the final sentences will be issued for them in the near future.

 

The Iranian Intelligence Ministry announced on Friday that it has captured 41 members of the ISIL terrorist group following the Wednesday twin terrorist attacks in Tehran.

 

"Following a series of sophisticated intelligence operations and with the cooperation of the families of some of the terrorists, 41 elements of the ISIL Takfiri group were identified and arrested before conducting any act of terror," the intelligence ministry said in a statement.

 

It added that the terrorists were detained in the Iranian provinces of Kermanshah, Kordestan, West Azarbaijan and Tehran.

 

"Many documents and equipment for terrorist operations were also seized from the terrorists," the statement added.

 

Three unknown male assailants fired several rounds at the guards protecting the parliament building in Tehran on Wednesday morning. The assailants opened
their way into the parliament's administrative building while shooting at the guards.

 

A similar attack took place at the holy shrine of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, parallel with the parliament attack.

 

17 people, including the parliament's guards, were killed and 52 others were wounded in the twin attacks.

 

The ISIL claimed responsibility for the twin terrorist attacks.
