RNA - "Saudi Arabia and the extremist agents inside the US government may have had a part in the recent terrorist attack on Iran's parliament on June 7," Amir Abdollahian said.
The top advisor said that while it is early to draw conclusions about the elements behind the ISIL terrorist attacks, there were rumors about possible role of Saudi Arabia and extremist agents inside US government in Tehran's terrorist attacks.
“There are reports that certain talks had been held with Saudi officials during Mr. Trump’s visit to Riyadh, which also puts suspicion on the complicity of some extremist agents inside US government in the terrorist attacks on Tehran,” Amir Abdollahian added.
He noted that Saudi foreign minister Adel al-Jubeir and the kingdom's Defense Minister Mohammad bin Salman had also recently threatened that they will bring insecurities and war inside Iran, and said, "They must be held accountable for their threats in the wake of the terrorist attacks on Tehran."
Twin terrorist attacks on Iran’s Parliament and Imam Khomeini Mausoleum left 17 people dead and 52 others injured. The ISIL terrorist group claimed responsibility for both attacks.
