Syria in Last 24 Hours:
Rasa - The Syrian army continued its military operations in Southeastern Aleppo by purging terrorists from key towns and regions.
Syrian Forces

RNA - The army units drove back the ISIL terrorists from several regions in Southeastern Aleppo, and took control of over 30 towns and farms.

 

The Syrian troops killed several terrorists and injured many more in fierce clashes over controlling of strategic regions. They also destroyed military equipment of the terrorists.

 

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

 

Aleppo

 

The Syrian Army troops continued to hit ISIL in Southeastern Aleppo and Western Raqqa, taking control over 32 towns and farms.

 

The army men continued to clash with ISIL terrorists and drove them out of the villages and farms of al-Qeramah, Mastaheh Makhzoum, Khirbet al-Haja, al-Makhzoum, al-Jovin, Rasm Faleh, al-Meftahiyeh, Ba'ar al-Saba'a, Jarabat, Tarqavi, al-Salihiyeh, Anz Bu Kurdi, Bu Kurdi, Jarabat Saqir, al-Movili, al-Busi, Ba'ar Khatab, al-Qadesiyeh, Ramthan, Khirbet Ramthan, Barmalihan, Kharab al-Makhzoum, Debsi, Madihar, Debsi Afnan, Qazali Sharqiyeh, Moshref al-Sa'ab, Moshref al-Qajar, Khirbet al-Eis, al-Amirat, al-Sa'ad, Fakhikheh and Debsi Faraj in Southeastern Aleppo and Western Raqqa.

 

Military sources, meantime, reported that over 500 ISIL terrorists have been killed and hundreds more wounded in the army operations.

 

In the meantime, 6 tanks, two BMP vehicles and three drones of ISIL were destroyed by the army, while the engineering units are now carrying out cleansing operation in the newly-freed villages, towns and farms.

 

Hama

 

The Russian Air Force carried out a large number of airstrikes over ISIL-held regions in the Eastern territories of Hama province, striking several vehicles of the terrorists moving around Ithriya road, military sources said on Friday.

 

According to the military sources in Hama, the Russian fighter jets carried out dozens of airstrikes from 2:00 AM to 8:45 AM (Damascus Time), targeting ISIL's main supply route around the Ithriya region that leads to Raqqa province.

 

Deir Ezzur

 

The Syrian Army troops and Air Force targeted ISIL's positions and gatherings in and outside the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

 

The army aircraft launched heavy airstrikes on ISIL's positions in the village of al-Baqaliyeh, al-Janineh region, al-Maqaber (cemetery) region, Panorama base, Wadi (plain) al-Thardah and terrorists' command center in Jadideh al-Akaydat region, killing a number of terrorists, including several non-Syrian commanders.

 

In the meantime, the army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL terrorists that had prevailed over the pro-government forces' positions in the Eastern direction of Panorama base and killed the entire terrorists and recaptured the area.

 

The army soldiers, backed up by the fighter jets, warded off ISIL's offensives in al-Movazafeen neighborhoods and al-Maqaber, inflicting major casualties on the terrorists.

 

Local sources said that the army men continued their operation against ISIL in Badiyeh (desert) Southeast of Palmyra and drove ISIL out of al-Abbasiyeh region and the ancient region of Hamamat Zonoubia.

 

Dara'a

 

The Syrian Army troops have started a large-scale operation against terrorists in the Southern city of Dara'a after dispatching a large volume of military equipment and forces to the city in the last days, military sources said.

 

The sources reported that the army's missile and artillery units and Air Force have started targeting terrorists' defense lines in Dara'a al-Balad district in Dara'a.

 

The army has been mobilizing forces to initiate a full-scale military operation against militant groups in Dara'a in bid to secure the government-controlled parts of the provincial capital.

 

Another military source said that ground attacks on terrorists' positions will be launched parallel to the air and artillery attacks, adding that after arrival of more convoys of forces and equipment and final preparations, the army troops will kick off the operation against terrorists in Dara'a.

 

Local sources said on Monday that the terrorist groups in Dara'a city were accusing each other for frequent defeats in their attacks on the Syrian Army troops' positions.

 

The sources said that the army soldiers repelled the entire attacks of Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board), the Free Syrian Army and Ahrar al-Sham on the pro-government forces' strongholds, killing a large number of them, including several field commanders and destroying their military hardware in large scale.

 

The sources went on to say that the terrorist groups were disunited and on the verge of collapse after their failed attacks on the army in Dara'a.

 

In the meantime, several terrorist groups in Northern Dara'a set up an operation room to face possible operation of the army in the region.

 

The Syrian army continued it military operations against Al-Nusra Front in Dara'a province, killing tens of terrorists, including several senior commanders.  

 

Raqqa

 

The predominately Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) engaged in tough battle with ISIL Northeast of Raqqa city and managed to take control over the Syrian Army's division 17 base.

 

Local sources said that the SDF finally overran the highly fortified Division 17 Army Base and Sugar Factory Northeast of Raqqa after laying siege on the facilities for several weeks.

 

A few dozen ISIL militants managed to escape to Raqqa city although many more were killed amid clashes over Division 17 Base which rather expectantly proved tough for both sides.

 

In addition, Kurdish militants killed all members of an ISIL pocket Northwest of Raqqa city, thus imposing control over the villages of al-Sakura and Mazraat Yarub.

 

Effectively, the Kurdish-led SDF now controls all villages, checkpoints and bases surrounding the city of Raqqa where a huge battle will unfold this summer.

 

According to reports, terrorists' commanders have put low priority to rural areas surrounding Raqqa while the city itself is defended by some 4,000 militants who will engage the SDF in an attritional battle for the ISIL capital itself.

 

Other sources reported that ISIL terrorists completely withdrew from vulnerable territory located on the Southern bank of the Euphrates River between the positions of the Syrian Army troops and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

 

ISIL has lost control over 20 villages, the sources said, adding that much of the rural area is believed to be booby-trapped.

 

Sweida

 

The Syrian Army troops engaged in heavy fighting with terrorists in Northeastern Sweida and repelled their offensive, inflicting heavy casualties on them.

 

The army units clashed fiercely with terrorists in the regions of al-Qal'ah, al-Zalaf dam and a checkpoint known as the France checkpoint near Badiyeh (desert) and managed to fend off their attack, killing and wounding a large number of them and destroying their weapons and military equipment.
