London Terror Attacks:
Rasa - First it was Manchester, now London. On Saturday, three terrorists wearing stab-proof vests drove a van into pedestrians on London Bridge before attacking revelers with hunting knives and killing seven.

RNA - At least 48 were also wounded following the attack. The Met Police confirmed that all three of the depraved attackers were shot and killed within eight minutes of the first call to emergency services.

It is yet another reminder that the United States, Britain and their rogue allies cannot have a war on terrorism when the bogus war itself is terrorism, particularly their dirty war on Syria and the toxic blowback. Here is some more:

1) The surest way to prevent similar terror attacks is to take away the matter of them: ending the war on Syria. The London terror attacks were a blowback from Britain’s terror support in Syria and beyond - based on a faulty interpretation of the previous decade’s downward spiral in Iraq.

2) The violent power vacuum in Syria will never pose only a local problem. It is wrong to treat ISIL and Al-Qaeda as a containable regional proxy or problem. The spreading crackup of sovereignty and spread of violence throughout the Levant poses a threat to more than the just lives, well-being, and stability of the hundreds of millions who live in the Middle East and its environs. It poses security threats to the West as well. Sadly, only the refugee crisis and terror attacks in the West forced this belated realization.

3) ISIL has not yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but it doesn't matter really as many ISIL members and commanders used to be members of the same groups that are referred to and promoted by the West as "moderates". The three terrorists may have made secret trips to Syria to train for the attack. And we all know who probably trained them: The CIA and British intelligence agents. It was under former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that a pipeline of Takfiri terrorists and weapons from Libya to Syria was organized. The British government surely knew and helped with this.

4) The British government supports radical Takfiris to fight against the Syrian government it wants to overthrow. The problem is, these extremists can never be controlled by Britain. Any use of terror proxy forces abroad will blow back home. But don't expect the British government supporting “fakestream” media to explicitly point out that obvious connection. They are all part of the campaign for regime change and they are all guilty themselves of causing the Manchester and London terror attacks.

5) With the Saturday terrorist attack in London, it is clear that Britain has suffered yet more blowback from its tolerance of the most vicious terrorist networks in Syria and beyond. It highlights a continuing trend towards political instability and insecurity for Britain, which suffers from an ongoing US-led war on Syria and the spread of violence into British towns and cities.

6) Today, across all lines in Syria, there is deep anger at terrorists and at their foreign sponsors, including the United States and Britain. Many scapegoat Washington and London, holding them responsible for every bad thing that has happened in Syria since 2011.

7) American and British intelligence officials put the number of foreign fighters who have gone to Syria at between 10,000 and 12,000. Virtually every country in Western Europe has reported that some of its citizens have gone to Syria. A significant number have died in the war from the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, and other states with sizable Muslim minorities.

Which makes the blowback from the Syrian war massive and enduring. There are still many terrorists in Syria who have American, British and European passports, and will come home if they survive the war. For the intelligence and security services of the Western allies the specter of battle-hardened, experienced fanatics returning to their homes full of anger and resentment is a very deeply troubling one.

It’s a nightmare that has proceeded incrementally from horrifying to worse. Because Syria’s catastrophe has stretched on for so long, with so much Western interference, it has become easy to miss turning points - and even to believe that little can be done to reduce the toxic consequences. In fact, much can be done to reduce the death toll, the casualties, and displacement, along with the destabilizing strategic consequences of Syria’s meltdown, which includes massive waves of refugees, terrorist blowback, and unprecedented strain on the Syrian state structure.

The sixth year of a US-led war that is also a sprawling, expanding regional war marks an apt time for Britain to consider a major adjustment of its Syria policy. There remains the opportunity to do more to manage the crisis. Iran and Russia, major players in geopolitics in general and Syria specifically, have demonstrated interest in reducing tensions with the West, while also presenting a challenge to the colonial order preferred by the United States and Britain.

Fruitful diplomacy suggests a convergence of views to press for a political solution in Syria, but the major gaps between Washington, Tehran and Moscow cannot be resolved if only Tehran and Moscow are willing to bear the risks of confrontation. It's time for London to distance itself from the United States' colonial policies and think more of the security of its citizens who are getting killed in the street by the same terrorists that are fighting the Syrian government. A glance at the developments in Syria and Iraq would show you that Iran and Russian have done more for the security of the British than their own government that still continues to support the parent state of all these terrorist groups, Saudi Arabia.
