RNA - "Saudi and Bahraini rulers' reliance on US President Donald Trump will not benefit them," Amir Abdollahian said in a meeting with Hamas Representative to Tehran Khaled Ghadoumi in the Iranian capital on Sunday.

The Iranian speaker's advisor, meantime, pointed to the atrocities by the Saudi and Bahraini regimes in the region, and said, "Intensification of crackdowns in Bahrain and Yemen is the outcome of the US greenlight to the Al Saud and Al Khalifa regimes.

Amir Abdollahian also conveyed Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani's congratulatory message on the occasion of the election of Ismail Haniyeh as head of Hamas political office.

The Hamas representative, for his part, said that Hamas in its new charter has not withdrawn from the previous version and has not recognized the occupying forces of the Zionist regime.

"The Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia is rooted in the chaos existed in the world system," he added.

The envoy praised Iran for holding the International Palestinian Intifada Conference in Tehran.

He called for upholding the pivot of resistance in the region in a bid to elevate regional security and stability.

In relevant remarks last week, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi blasted US President Donald Trump for his visit to undemocratic Saudi Arabia, saying that the trip was made to broaden relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv.

"Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia pursued different goals, including strengthening Iranophobia, selling US weapons and bolstering relations between the Zionist regime and Saudi Arabia," Qassemi said on Wednesday.

It is unacceptable that the president of a country which claims to be advocate of democracy and human rights starts his first foreign trip with regions that lack democracy, respect for human rights and freedom," he added.

Qassemi, meantime, underlined that despite its enemies' warmongering approaches and attempts to create insecurity in the region, Iran will continue moving on the path of peace and interaction with its neighbors.

General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces also in a statement on Monday lambasted the reactionary Arab leaders for taking steps in line with Israel's plots against the region.

"Certain reactionary Arab rulers in the region not only oppress the innocent Yemeni, Iraqi, Palestinian, Afghan, Bahraini, Lebanese and Syrian Muslims in strongest and most barbaric ways but also pursue peace and friendship plans with Israel, as the first enemy of the Muslim world," the statement said.

"They are obscenely after cleaning the hated and devilish face of the usurper Zionist regime," it added.

The statement, meantime, underlined that the Islamic Awakening and the regional people's spontaneous and freedom-seeking campaigns will prevent materialization of the Greater Israel dream.

The statement came one day after Leader of Yemen's Ansarullah movement, Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, underlined that US President Donald Trump's visit to Riyadh is aimed at weakening and disintegrating the Arab countries and helping Israel.

"Trump's trip to Riyadh is in line with implementing the US and Israel's plots to annihilate the Arab states after weakening and disintegrating them," al-Houthi said on Sunday.

"Saudi Arabia and the UAE are financial sponsors of these plots and when their role ends, it will be their own turn to become annihilated by poverty," he added.
