RNA - "The issue of terrorism is still in the headlines for certain countries' capricious behavior and this stream (terrorism) is helped by certain sides," Larijani told reporters in Tehran on Saturday.
Referring to the recent events happening in the region, he warned that a small mistake can change the atmosphere completely.
"Certain international actors' behavior has created lots of misunderstanding; therefore, we cannot say that the existing conflicts in the region are declining," Larijani added.
In relevant remarks earlier this month, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan warned the world states to immediately find a way to control terrorism in Syria and Iraq to prevent a bigger catastrophe in the world.
"The ominous phenomenon of terrorism which is active in Syria and Iraq today is a global threat which will endanger the world's security if not harnessed and annihilated," General Dehqan said in a meeting with Syria's Chief of the Staff General Ali Abdullah Ayyoub in Tehran last Tuesday.
He also warned against an invasion of Syria by its neighbors, and said, "Any aggressive act against Syria will exacerbate the crisis, spread the war and bloodshed and lead to continued violence in the region."
General Dehqan also stressed Iran's continued support for the Syrian nation, adding that Tehran will spare no efforts to establish peace and stability in Syria.
Also, in April, General Dehqan warned that the states sponsoring terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq would soon experience the same attacks in their own territories by the same terrorist groups.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran believes that if terrorism is not uprooted in Syria and Iraq, it will soon target its small and major supporters, including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the US and Europe, with the most barbaric terrorist acts," General Dehqan said, addressing the Sixth Moscow Conference on International Security underway in the Russian capital on April 26-27.
