Rasa - Chairman of the Iran Aviation Industry Organization Amir Karim Bani Tarafi announced that the country has gained self-sufficiency in producing simulators for different types of fighter jets and cargo planes.
The Qaher F-313 fighter jet is unveiled in an exhibition by Iran’s Defense Ministry, in Tehran, April 15, 2017.

RNA - "The Air Force is self-sufficient in building simulators for different types of fighter jets and small and giant transportation planes," Bani Tarafi said on Saturday.

He said that the Iranian Air Force has also gained self-sufficiency in designing and manufacturing highly complicated parts.

Bani Tarafi also referred to the country's first home-made training jet, 'Kowsar', unveiled recently, and said a sufficient number of the new jet will be manufactured in the next three years to meet the Air Force needs.

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in the defense sector and gained self-sufficiency in essential military hardware and defense systems.

The country has repeatedly made it clear that its military might is merely based on the state's defense doctrine of deterrence and that it poses no threat to other countries.

The Iranian military experts and technicians have made great achievement in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment in recent years, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

Simulators help cadets receive better training and test their piloting and shooting skills in different weather conditions.

In July 2015, Iran launched home-made simulator for Mig-29 fighter jets at Tehran's International Mehrabad Airport in the presence of senior Air Force commanders.
