Rasa - Israeli forces detained two Palestinians from the Southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron, a local activist said.

RNA - The activist, Muhammad Ayyad Awwad said that Israeli forces detained Muhammad Samer Ayyash Ikhlayyil, a 38-year-old resident of the village of Beit Ummar, at the Hizma checkpoint in the Jerusalem district, Ma'an reported.

 

The activist was arrested as he was heading back from work, while the other Palestinian, Mahmoud Abu Hashhash was detained in the al-Fawwar refugee camp.

 

Israeli forces detain Palestinians on a daily basis, with the UN reporting an average of 78 detentions raids each week so far this year.

 

According to prisoners’ rights group Addameer, 6,300 Palestinians were detained by Israel as of March.
