RNA - The terrorist groups had earlier released fake news in their media outlets that people of Madhaya had been left without food and medicine by the government but the militants' withdrawal from the region revealed their lies.
After the terrorists were forced by the army to agree to a deal to leave the town of Madhaya, people in the town disclosed that "militants had stored the foodstuff and medicine supplied by the government and Syrian Red Crescent in their warehouses and sold them to people at unbearably high prices".
The Syrian army forces could establish full security in the Western parts of Damascus after cleansing the towns of Zabadani, Madhaya, Baqin, Sarqaya, Bloudan and Eastern al-Jabal from the terrorist groups.
According to al-Hadath news website, the Syrian soldiers could revive security in the Western parts of the capital along with the Western Ghouta of Damascus in a 200-km/sq area stretching from the Syria-Lebanon borders in the West to the regions near al-Yarmouk camp in the South.
Field sources said that the end of war in Western Damascus will give the army an opportunity to move towards Eastern Ghouta without any worries about attacks from behind. "Meantime, agreements with the terrorist groups to leave Eatern Ghouta will also become a possibility."
According to the report, the Western parts of Damascus are strategically important for its adjacency to the Damascus-Beirut highway; "the region also hosts Damascus's most important water supplies, including Ain al-Fijeh".
