RNA - Mahmoud al-Halabi, PPS attorney, said that the issued administration detention periods range from three to six renewable months, WAFA reported.

He also added that 10 of the administration detention orders were issued against prisoners who spend months and years without a trial.

Administrative detention allows for internment without charge or trial for six-month intervals that can be renewed indefinitely. The policy has been strongly criticized by the international community as well as Palestinian rights activists.

According to a statistic by the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, the total number of Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons is 6,500, with 536 of them being administrative detainees.
