RNA - "The April 7 terrorist incident in the Central parts of Stockholm city displayed the heinous and terrible face of terrorism again and took the lives of innocent people and injured a large number of others," the Iranian embassy said in a statement released on Sunday.
The statement condemned the terrorist attack, and extended the condolences of the Iranian people and officials to the Swedish government, nation and the bereaved families over the death of their beloved ones.
It underlined that fight against terrorism certainly needs cooperation and collective and non-discriminatory action against the ominous phenomenon by all countries and international bodies.
A man was arrested "on suspicion of terrorist crimes" after a truck crashed into a crowd in Central Stockholm, killing four people and injuring 15 others.
The attack sent terrified shoppers running for their lives as the stolen truck rammed pedestrians and crashed into a department store shortly after 2:00pm local time on Friday.
Police said it has heightened security at Swedish borders, and police in neighboring Norway's largest cities and at Oslo's airport will carry weapons until further notice.
