RNA - Rival terrorist groups in Idlib province assassinated a ringleader of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA).
Idlib
The al-Nusra (Fatah al-Sham) Front-affiliated terrorists assassinated commander of the FSA's Division 13 in Idlib province.
According to sources, Ahmad al-Saoud was killed in Idlib province on Wednesday.
Meantime, Enab news website (affiliated to the terrorists) reported that the militants affiliated to Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board) have killed Saoud in the town of Khan al-Sonbol in Southern Idlib.
Also in the past 24 hours, terrorists fired several Grad missiles at residential areas in the besieged town of Fua'a in the Northern part of Idlib province despite an earlier ceasefire agreement with the government, local sources said.
Sources reported that at least 10 Grad missiles were fired at Fua'a despite the recent agreement between the terrorists and the Syrian officials to allow a number of Fua'a residents to leave the besieged town in exchange for government permission to the same number of militants to be transferred from the two towns of al-Zabadani and Madaya in Western Damascus.
No reports have been yet released about the possible casualties and damages inflicted by the attacks which still continue, according to the sources.
Homs
The Syrian Army troops continued their advances against ISIL in areas surrounding the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) and managed to drive terrorists out of more territories in a mountainous region after inflicting tens of casualties on the militants.
The army soldiers engaged in an intense battle with ISIL North of Palmyra's silos and managed to push them back from the Southwestern slopes of Mount al-Mazbed.
Tens of ISIL terrorists were killed and a number of their vehicles were destroyed in the attack.
In the meantime, the army's missile and artillery units and aircraft pounded ISIL's positions North of al-Katibeh (battalion) al-Mahjoureh region, East of Sawameh region, al-Bardeh region and East of al-Quaryatayn town in Eastern Homs, killing and wounding a large number of terrorists and destroying their military vehicles.
Also in the past 24 hours, Syrian Army troops engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra Front in Northwestern Homs and managed to repel their attack, killing a number of them including several notorious commanders.
The army men fended off the Al-Nusra attack on government forces' positions in al-Houleh dam from the direction of Taldou village in al-Houleh region, killing a number of terrorists, including Khalid Bin Abdultoweihi and several other senior field commanders.
The Al-Nusra's military vehicles and hardware also sustained major damage in the failed attack.
Hama
The Syrian Army troops continued to push the terrorists back from more positions in Northern Hama, capturing more settlements and regions near the town of Halfaya.
The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists and seized control over the Batish region where one of the defense lines of the terrorists in Halfaya town was positioned.
The army men also drove the terrorists out of Tarabi'e settlement near Halfaya. Early battlefield reports said the terrorists suffered heavy casualties in the army advances.
A military source reported that terrorists started to leave Halfaya as soon as the army reached the entrance of the town and won control over the town's checkpoints.
Also on Wednesday, the Syrian Army troops continued to prevail over the positions of Al-Nusra Front in Northern Hama and entered a key town in the region.
The army soldiers engaged in hours of intense battle with Al-Nusra and managed to capture several positions, entering the strategic town of Halfaya known as one of the largest bases of the terrorists in Eastern Ghouta.
A field sources reported meantime that the army men have entered Halfaya and are now carrying out cleansing operation across the town, adding that the town will soon be completely purged of Al-Nusra terrorists.
Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Army forces continued their anti-terrorism operation in Northern Hama, reaching the gates of the strategic militant-held city of Souran.
The army units engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra Front in areas surrounding Souran, while the army's artillery and missile units targeted terrorists' centers heavily in Souran and Taybat al-Imam towns to back the ground troops.
In the meantime, the Russian and Syrian fighter jets bombed terrorists' concentration centers in different parts of Northern Hama.
A military source said that the army men targeted and destroyed three suicide bomb-laden vehicles before terrorists could use them to hit the government forces' positions in Ma'ardes region, adding the army soldiers further engaged with the militants that tried to prevail over the army positions North of Souran, killing a large number of them and repelling their attack.
Damascus
The Syrian Air Force carried out several combat sorties over the terrorist groups' concentration centers in Eastern Ghouta, destroying several militant sites and a large volume of their equipment.
The army aircraft targeted terrorists' gathering centers in al-Qaboun district, Jobar district and in Hamouriyeh and Arbin regions, destroying several missile launchpads and four military camps.
Early army reports said an unspecified number of terrorists have been killed or wounded in the air raid.
The fighter jets also pounded terrorists' strongholds in Harasta town and a region between Douma and Harasta, in Saqba, Zmelka and near Ein Terma garages, leaving a number of terrorists dead or wounded and their positions destroyed.
Meantime, local sources reported that government troops also clashed with terrorists in Hawsh al-Zawahereh, killing seven militants.
Also on Wednesday, the Syrian army continued its anti-terrorism operation in Eastern Ghouta, expanding the range of its advances near the key city of Douma, the main stronghold of Jeish al-Islam.
The army troops engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists East of al-Reihan farms and managed to take control over several strategic positions and tunnel networks near Bin Sina hospital, tightening the circle of forces around the city of Douma.
An informed source in Eastern Ghouta said that al-Reihan farms are the last defense line of Jeish al-Islam from the Douma direction, adding that the army's advances in these farms have tightened noose on the key city.
The source further added that the army has dispatched a large number of forces and a large volume of equipment to the Eastern flank of Douma to take back al-Reihan farms, underlining that Jeish al-Islam will have no way out but to surrender or accept the reconciliation plan once the siege of Douma is complete.
Dara'a
The Syrian Army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra Front in the neighborhoods of the Southern city of Dara'a and fended off their attack, killing a number of militants.
The army troop repelled Al-Nusra Front's offensive to break through government forces' positions in Dara'a neighborhoods, while artillery and missile units of the army targeted the movements of the terrorists in several flanks to cover their comrades in the city.
A well-informed source said that 15 militants of Al-Nusra were killed, two of their tanks were destroyed South of al-Masri square and a machinegun-equipped vehicle of the terrorists was also destroyed West of the city's old costumes in the failed attack.
In the meantime, the army's artillery targeted a vehicle of the terrorists North of Ba'ar al-Shayah region in Dara'a, killing the entire crew on board.
Deir Ezzur
The Syrian Army troops continued their offensive against ISIL in the Southern outskirts of the city of Deir Ezzur and managed to advance against terrorists, killing and injuring tens of them.
The army soldiers stormed ISIL's gathering centers and positions in al-Maqaber (cemetery) region, killing at least 60 terrorists and wounding tens of others.
A large volume of ISIL's arms and ammunition also were destroyed in the attack.
The army men managed to push terrorists back from more positions in al-Maqaber to lift the siege on their comrades in the Deir Ezzur and its airbase.
