RNA - The Italian Foreign Ministry also condemned Israel’s expropriation of new lands in the West Bank, WAFA reported.

“These decisions are contrary to international law, stave off the resumption of negotiations between the parties and the prospect of two States for two Peoples,” added the statement.

Meanwhile, reports said thousands of mostly Jewish protesters have rallied in Jerusalem to condemn 50 years of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.

Organizers stated around 2,000 demonstrators marched to Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City during Saturday’s event which was carried out by the Standing Together movement.

The rally was the first in a series of events organized by the group, an umbrella movement consisting of pro-peace organizations and left-wing parties, marking 50 years since the Six-Day War.

The rally was meant to “protest against the continued Israeli control over the territories and especially East Jerusalem, and in favor of a peaceful solution,” the movement confirmed in a statement.

The protesters called for an end to the Tel Aviv regime’s settlement expansion, chanting “No to a government of annexation.”
