Rasa - Iranian Culture Minister Reza Salehi Amiri in a meeting with his Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Zine El Abidine called for boosting cooperation between the two countries in the fight against terrorism.

RNA - "The establishment of a united front against terrorism and violence is necessary," Salehi Amiri said.

 

The Iranian culture minister, meantime, underlined the need for broadening of bilateral ties between the two countries in different fields.

 

He urged talks between Iranian and Tunisian elites, and said that cultural dialogue between the two countries’ people can enhance understanding between the two nations.

 

In relevant remarks on Friday, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi underlined that Iran is an influential power in the Middle East region.

 

"Iran is a big country with a rich cultural heritage and it plays an important role in the region," President Essebsi said in a meeting with Iranian Culture Minister Reza Salehi Amiri in Tunis City.

 

The Tunisian president said that Iran is the sole hope for the struggle against Israel and Tunisia hopes that the Muslim and Arab world to stand by Iran in this regard.
