RNA - The police claimed the woman attacked them with a knife before she was shot and “neutralized,” usually in reference to being shot dead, WAFA reported.

It was later announced that she was killed.

Witnesses said police stationed at the gate shot the woman, who was not immediately identified, without any apparent reason and left her bleeding on the ground without providing any assistance to her.

Police, who sealed off the area after bringing reinforcements, prevented Palestinian Red Crescent medics from assisting the woman and even attacked and beat passers-by, mainly women, who attempted to help.

A number of Palestinians were shot and killed by Israeli police at Damascus Gate since October 2015.
