RNA – In an interview with the media, Dhiya al-Bahrani, one of the leaders of Bahrain’s Coalition of Youth of the 14 February Revolution, referred to the international support for the Al Khalifah regime in Bahrain and added, “The United States gives political cover to the regime so that with the support of Saudi forces, they can suppress the Bahraini people and uproot the citizens of this country.”

He said that the terrorist crimes of the Al Khalifah regime have been proven in various human rights organizations and added that the United States’’ State Department’s recent decision to list two Bahraini citizens on its list of “supporters of terrorism” means that the US is an open enemy of the people of Bahrain.

On March 19, the US State Department announced that it has designated Ahmad Hasan Yusuf and Sayyid Murtadha Majid Ramadhan Alawi, members of the al-Ashtar Brigades, as “Specially Designated Global Terrorists.”

al-Bahrani said this issue demonstrates the false slogans that the US shouts out in support of democracy and human rights. “The addition of the names of two Bahraini revolutionaries on its list of terrorists demonstrates that the US is targeting the Bahraini revolution,” he added.

The revolutionary activist noted the intense military violence against the people of Bahrain by the US- and Saudi-backed Al Khalifah regime said, “The Bahraini people have risen up in order to achieve freedom, social justice and self-determination but after the invasion of Saudi forces and their occupation of Bahrain, the Bahraini peoples’ revolution became defensive and they’re now engaged in a struggle of holy defense in order to defend their sanctities, honour and territories.”

He pointed out that the people of Bahrain have never committed an act of terrorism and said, “With the support of Saudi Arabia, the Al Khalifah dynasty have committed the most severe terrorist crimes against the people, violated their dignity and honour, destroyed mosques, detained women and committed torture against prisoners.”

“In the coming days, two prisoners, Muhammad Sahwan and Mansour Mubarak, will be martyred for this reason,” he said.

al-Bahrani said that despite all these crimes, the US, continues its usual policies and considers these revolutionaries as terrorists. “Describing the defenders of the homeland and of dignity as terrorists is considered as condescending,” the revolutionary said.

He noted that the Al Khalifah and Al Saud dynasties were true terrorists and added, “The people of Bahrain are indifferent to the baseless allegations made by the US government and will continue their path with strength.”
