Rasa - Israeli occupation authorities issued 30 administration detention orders, without charge or trial, against Palestinian prisoners in since March 13, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) in a statement.

RNA - Mahmoud al-Halabi, PPS attorney, said that the issued administration detention periods range from two to six renewable months, WAFA reported.

 

According to a statistic by the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, the total number of Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons is 6,500, with 536 of them being detained without a charge or trial.

 

The UN recorded an average of 95 weekly raids in the West Bank in 2016, and 73 weekly raids on average thus far in 2017.

 

According to prisoners’ rights group Addameer, 6,500 Palestinians were held in Israeli prisons as of January, 53 of whom were women and 300 of them minors. Some 420 Palestinians were detained throughout the month of February alone including 70 minors and 22 women and girls.
