RNA - “We will love to see more funds so that we can quickly return prosperity and stabilization to these areas,” Abadi said, NRT reported.

Following his meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, Abadi said he received assurances from Trump's administration of increased American support as he presses his country's campaign against ISIL.

Abadi said he also sees a warming of relations with Saudi Arabia and regional neighbors and that he currently sees an opening for potential improvement in relations.

“We have an opening with Saudi Arabia. I'm optimistic with this opening. I welcome it, and I hope we can move further in furthering our relationship even with Turkey with Saudi Arabia with Iran and other neighbors."

Abadi said he is looking forward to continued cooperation between the US and Iraq on Monday during his first meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House in Washington.

“This relation is by choice,” Abadi said, adding Iraq looks forward to cooperation not just in security but in the economy, energy and culture.
