Rasa - The Yemeni army and popular forces inflicted heavy losses on the Saudi-led troops in Assir province in the Southern part of the kingdom by destroying their arms depots.

RNA - "The Yemeni forces attacked Saudi-led troops' al-Hajar military base in the Eastern part of al-Rabou'a region and destroyed two of their weapons and ammunition depot as well as two of their vehicles," a military source said.  

 

The Saudi-led forces sustained heavy losses in the Yemeni forces' offensives in Assir province.

 

In a relevant development on Thursday, a military official said that the air defense units of the Yemeni army and popular forces shot down an Apache helicopter belonging to the Saudi-led coalition in Hudayda province.

 

The military official said the helicopter was shot down in Bait Fakih district in Hodeida, Saba reported.

 

Further details have not been announced yet, either by the Yemeni Army or popular forces fighting against the Saudi-backed forces trying to reinstate the fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

 

The Saudi war, which was launched in March 2015 in an attempt to bring back the country's former government to power, according to local sources has so far claimed the lives of at least 13,100 Yemenis.

 

The Saudi military aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, schools, and factories.
