Rasa - The cousin of the ISIL leader, Ibrahim Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, was reportedly arrested by the Iraqi Federal Police on Thursday after they took full control of another district in Western Mosul.

RNA - Based on the footage released by Iraqi activists, the cousin of the terror group's leader was arrested inside the recently liberated Jawsaq District of western Mosul, Al-Masdar reported.

 

The Iraqi Armed Forces launched the last phase of their Mosul offensive earlier this month, targeting the last half of the city that is under the control of the terrorist group.

 

On Thursday, the Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd Al-Sha’abi) liberated the strategic Bashiqa area, resulting in the complete encirclement of the ISIL’s stronghold of Tal Afar.
