Rasa - Commander of Iraqi popular forces of Hash al-Shaabi in al-Anbar province Sheikh Qatari al-Obeidi said over 20 ISIL terrorists, including several emirs (commanders) were killed in Iraqi fighter jets' strike.

RNA - Al-Obeidi said that Iraqi warplanes targeted a long convoy of ISIL with nine vehicles carrying terrorists and weapons in Jatibeh region Northwest of the town of Haditheh town, killing over 20 terrorists, including several commanders.

 

Military reports said all the vehicles were destroyed in the air attack.

 

Commander of Iraq's Border Guards in Anbar Province announced earlier this month that his forces clashed with members of the ISIL terror group, West of the province, and he added that a number of the militants were arrested during the security operation.

 

“A joint contingent of Iraqi Border Guards in Anbar, the command’s commando brigade and forces of Hashd al-Ashaeri raided Albu Hayat village, West of Trebil-Waleed intersection in Rutba District,310 km West of Ramadi,” Lieutenant General Ammar al-Kobessi, said in a press statement, Al Masdar reported.

 

“The security forces clashed with the ISIL members on the outskirts of the village, and managed to dismantle five improvised explosive devices and removed four others, which were planted in the area,” he further explained.

 

“A number of suspects were also arrested and several vehicle were seized in Albu Hayat village,” Kobessi added.

 

Meanwhile the Syrian Air Force carried out repeated strikes against ISIL's gathering centers and movements in different parts of Deir Ezzur city, destroying several command posts and killing a large number of terrorists.

 

The army aircraft pounded the defense lines of ISIL in Tal (hill) al-Mat'taweleh, Tal Milad and its Northern part, Southeastern and Eastern Tal Khanzir, hills of Jalili and Aloush, Tisir hill in al-Thardah mountain, al-Ma'amel, al-Makbat and al-Karfanat regions, killing and wounding a large number of terrorists and destroying their command posts.

 

ISIL's vehicles and military equipment were destroyed in the air raids in large scale.  

 

Reports said earlier today that the army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL in areas surrounding Deir Ezzur's airbase, al-Jafrah village and al-Fouj region and fended off their attacks, killing and wounding a large number of them.

 

The army tanks meantime targeted ISIL's positions in al-Maqaber (cemetery) region, killing at least six terrorists.

 

Also, the army aircraft pounded ISIL's movements in several round of attacks in al-Omal and al-Sina'ah neighborhoods, Tal (hill) 17, al-Maqaber region and Jonayd division region, killing and wounding a number of militants.
