RNA - The Israeli soldiers shot dead the Palestinian on Wednesday, claiming she had injured an Israeli soldier in a car ramming incident, the al-Aqsa TV reported, citing Israeli officials.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli forces shot and wounded five Palestinians in the occupied West Bank amid ongoing tensions there.
Palestinian sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Israeli forces raided Dheisheh refugee camp, located just south of Bethlehem and about 10 kilometers south of Jerusalem al-Quds, early on Wednesday, promoting clashes with residents of the camp, Arabic-language Ma’an news reported.
Four civilians were wounded in the leg, while the fifth one was struck in the head after Israeli forces opened fire on them.
Two sons of Major General Ibrahim Ramadan, the governor of Jenin, were among the wounded.
Israeli soldiers also broke into the home of former prisoner Murad Zaqari, and ransacked the residence before taking him away to an unknown location.
Israel detains 23 Palestinians
Meanwhile, Israeli forces have arrested at least 23 Palestinians during separate overnight raids on a number of houses across West Bank.
Israeli military forces stormed the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron) early on Wednesday. They broke into dozens of homes and violently searched them, causing excessive property damage before detaining two young Palestinians.
Separately, Israeli troops raided the town of Beit Ummar northwest of al-Khalil, and arrested three Palestinian men there.
Other Palestinians were arrested in Deir Abu Mash’al village, the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan and Deir Ballut and elsewhere in the occupied territories.
The occupied Palestinian territories have witnessed tensions ever since Israel imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem al-Quds in August 2015.
At least 285 Palestinians have lost their lives at the hands of Israeli forces in the tensions since the beginning of October that year.
