RNA - "Certain Arab states, specially the Sheikhdoms, have mobilized all their power to strike at the relations between Iran and Russia," Hossein al-Raqib told FNA on Saturday.
He viewed the recent visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Moscow as a new attempt orchestrated by the Arab regimes to darken ties between Iran and Russia, emphasizing that they will fail in their attempts.
Al-Raqib said that as a politician he is aware of the continued contacts between the Iranian and Russian leaders and their coordination at the highest levels while appreciating each others' role in resolving the crisis in Syria.
Analysts feel the military ties Moscow has forged with Iran during the fighting in Syria are too important to fade away.
They are also of the opinion that the alliance the Russian military and intelligence branches have forged with Iran’s Quds Force and Hezbollah over the last eighteen months on the Syrian battlefield, will be too useful to Moscow to give up.
