Surge in Afghan Blood:
Rasa - War capital Washington which until yesterday was bragging about “Mission Accomplished” and “Rebuilding Afghanistan”, is now confirming that it is escalating America’s longest war in history.

RNA - CENTCOM Commander Gen. Joseph Votel has confirmed that more US ground troops will be deployed to Afghanistan. He claims the additional troops will be used to “improve the capabilities of Afghan forces on the ground.”

This is while the US was supposed to have completed its pullout from Afghanistan by now, though this was repeatedly pushed back during the Obama administration’s waning years, and ultimately halted. All indications from Pentagon figures since are that they envision troop levels growing from this point – for a never-ending war and occupation. It’s a humiliating attempt to save a dying empire in a region increasingly hostile to its colonial policies and plans:

The US-led invasion was a catastrophe from day one. US airstrikes have killed many civilians already - though the Pentagon denies that. The new surge seems to be aiming for these sorts of targets again - as the CENTCOM claims “the Taliban are all hiding in these areas.”

Apparently, US ground troops are to be sent to “advise and assist” Afghan forces. This policy has nothing to do with “non-combat missions,” “quasi-headquarters” or “advisory operations,” but with real troops and real raids on the ground. The surge is far more than just “advise and assist”.

This is not just about “troop surge”, nor is it about “advice and assist”. It is mostly about the New Great Game for the Empire of Chaos: After Saudi-led invasion of Yemen, US army invaded and occupied the strategic Island of Socotra in the Indian Ocean. It is building its biggest naval base there. This is while the colonial scheme has no UN blessing and certainly no consent from the Yemeni government.

The same conclusion could be drawn for the new surge in Afghanistan. Few months from now, we shouldn’t be surprised to hear US military is busy constructing yet another base there, this time along the Iranian border with Afghanistan – of course with no UN blessing and certainly no consent from the Afghan government.

All this does fit well with the war capital’s policy for a permanent War on Islam and plan to partition and occupy the heartlands of the Muslim world forever. To be sure:

-The surge will bring more death and misery to the civilian population. It will be the Pentagon regime’s only success.

-There is a certain logic in the Trump White House to imagining that increasing the number of troops is a sign of military success – even though no one will be paying for the costs.

-The Pentagon regime will fail their troops, their country, and their coalition forces. By confusing troop surge with military outcomes they can’t take their operations as evidence of progress made. They have only been successful in mass murdering civilians and exacerbating the Afghan refugee crisis.

-The new surge is born of preceding failures. It’s a desperate attempt to save a dying empire in a region increasingly hostile to its self-serving policies and plans.

The world can't be blinded to this crime. The war capital must be forced to stop the surge and allow the world to see what they have done to the Afghan people and their hopes for peace and stability. The international civil society should discount the media theatre and hold to account the war makers and war profiteers who masquerade as providers of Afghan security.

Less we forget, Taliban and Al-Qaeda came to prominence to fight Russian forces in the 1980s; the Empire of Chaos directed these proxy forces to force Russian troops out of the country. They are now repeating the same mistake in Syria and Yemen, where the humanitarian catastrophes have dwarfed the mess they left behind in Afghanistan.

The war criminals would learn from their mistakes if they weren’t so busy denying or explaining them away. But they are still everywhere and in full operational mode; threatening Iran militarily for fighting their terror proxies; seeking regime change in Syria and Yemen; and demanding a return to Iraq and Afghanistan. This is more than enough to conclude why the CENTCOM’s new surge is not a slip-up. It is a deliberate attempt to destabilize Afghanistan and justify America’s permanent war and occupation.
